Monthly Update: January

January is usually a quiet month in the events world — a chance to rest up, regroup, and give our instruments (and dancing shoes) a well-earned break after the wedding season, Oktoberfest, and the festive rush.

But not this year. January 2025 brought one of the biggest highlights in recent memory for Golden Ticket Entertainment — and we’re all still buzzing from it.

We had the immense privilege of providing the entertainment for a breath-taking destination wedding in Montriond, nestled in the French Alps. From a magical outdoor ceremony, Oomparty accompanying a stunning firework display on the ice, right through to DJ sets late into the night, we were there every step (and song) of the way for the wonderful Rachael & Sam. 

Our directors Luke and Mark took the scenic route, embarking on a five-day van trip down through France. Fuelled by good cheese, better wine, and a banging playlist, the road trip set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable week of music, mountains, and magic.

It was also a kind of homecoming for our beloved Oomparty Band, who felt right at home celebrating all things Alpine. With steins in hand and snow underfoot, we brought the full Bavarian party — brass, lederhosen, and a whole lot of booze-fuelled singalongs.

Not your average January... but then again, we’ve never really done “average” at GTE. 

Here's to kicking off 2025 with a bang — or rather, a tuba blast in the Alps. 🏔️
