Monthly Update: September

Updated: Oct 17

SEPTEMBER — what a month! Here at Golden Ticket Entertainment we provided 59 performances over 30 days, making it one of our busiest months to date.

We spent most of September back at Alton Towers, which is always one of our favourite gigs of the year. This is the third year of our residency at Alton, but also marked a very special debut — we launched a brand new three-piece line-up for The Party Pilots to rave reviews from guests at the park. Performing a high-energy mix of rock, indie and pop, our trio entertained park-goers every day and really lifted the atmosphere at the main stage. 24 dates in a row is a big ask for any musician and the team absolutely smashed it out the park. Watch this space for more photos and videos of this exciting new project!

"So great to be able to see you yesterday! The best live music I've heard in ages."
"Guys...you were absolutely brilliant at @altontowers - what a pleasure and a credit you are to Oktoberfest!"

Of course, Alton Towers Oktoberfest would not be complete without The Oomparty Band, returning for a third consecutive year. Some old favourites ("It's Raining Men", "Toxic", our infamous "Club Megamix") were joined by new additions including Becky Hill / Chase & Status's summer smash hit "Disconnect", and an exclusive preview of our new Clubland Brass show... more on this later!

With our six-piece stage show captivating guests from Friday-Sunday and our stripped-back two-piece show from Monday-Thursday, we really started the oom-party at Alton.

Outside of rollercoasters, we bought the party to two beautiful weddings with a variety of music options from oompah bands to pianists and our roaming New Orleans style brass. Massive congratulations to Olly & Jo and Rich & Tim and thank you for having us!

Our brand-new Clubland Brass show debuted at Albert's Schloss, Birmingham — this new concept builds on the Oomparty tradition of translating electronic dance music over to brass, with the help of our amazing percussionist on the electronic sample pads. For Clubland Brass, each song blends seamlessly into the next, just like a DJ mixing live, guaranteeing that there is no drop in energy on the dance-floor.

Capping the month off we played great shows at Luna Springs, Digbeth and Shell Island, Wales, both featuring our incredible German hostesses.

GTE over-and-out — onto October!
